Urban Murano

Epoxy coatings are ideal for high traffic areas in residential + commercial environments where a seamless, finish is desired. As well as totally transforming a space, our epoxy-based finishes will not harbour bacteria and can withstand spills and resist staining.

Decorative in nature, luxe in appearance, our Urban Murano (epoxy) range is suitable for both homes and businesses alike.

Until a few years ago, epoxy floor coatings were only used in industrial applications because they are seamless (hygienic), durable, and renowned for their excellent chemical resistance.

Technical advances over the last few years have seen epoxy used more extensively as a decorative floor coating and the options in terms of color, and creativity are almost endless!

They have become very popular in the residential housing market who are after a luxe look for a great price. Specified by architects and designers in both residential and commercial projects we work with you to create or transform your space.

Without giving away trade secrets, we mix the epoxy resins and pigments on site to a ‘recipe or finish’ and our flooring artisans hand trowel a number of layers and products to create the finish/color. Each finish is unique, responding to a range of variables including but not limited to; your slab, light, the blend of materials, and our installers natural flair.

We offer a core range of pigments and colors and we can create custom colors and combinations on request. Unlike paint colors, where the process is precise, our pigments are mixed on site and it is not an exact science. Our customers tend to have a more adventurous nature as many variables can affect the end result. So, if you are after an exact color or finish, then perhaps this type of flooring is not for you.

The final finish is gloss and we can offer a satin coat if required. There is zero to very low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) in the epoxy, which means it is safe and environmentally friendly.
